When Does This Solution Apply: A Team Member is requesting Bereavement Leave.
Description: This article guides a Team Member for any Keeley Company through requesting bereavement leave, viewing pending requests, and potentially cancelling unwanted requests on the Sage People portal.

1. To request Bereavement Leave, you will need to go to the main Vacation & Absence page.
a. Selecting the arrow next to “Time Off” will bring down the option “Vacation & Absence”
b. Select theicon, then select the “Time Off” option to expand the list and select the “Vacation & Absence” option.
c. Select on "New" on the left side of the Vacation & Absence page.
d. Choose the “Start Date” and “End Date” for your requested time off and then select “Bereavement Leave” under Reason. Then select “Next”.
e. Next, if you’re unsure that you will return on your end date select “Yes” for “Can Your End Date Change?” otherwise leave it as “No”. You can add comments and/or attachments if needed. Select “Save” to submit.
f. Once the Bereavement Leave is submitted, it will take you back to the Vacation & Absence page where you can see your pending request on the calendar. You can hover over the colored box to see what it is.
g. The bottom of the page has the option to show “Legends”. This can tell you what each color on the calendar means.
h. Selecting on the day of the request on the calendar will allow you to delete or edit the request.
