Finding and Using your Action Email
The best resource you have to completing your pending actions manually is the email that you receive daily showing you your pending actions. To find this email, go to your work email account.
This email will come from the email address Human Resources @ Keeley, and it will contain the list of your pending actions.
If you can’t find this email in your inbox, it may have gotten caught up in your junk mail.
To remove it from your junk mail and ensure that it always goes to your inbox, first find the email in your junk mail and right click.
On the dropdown menu, find the ‘Junk’ submenu and click it.
On the next submenu, select ‘Not Junk’
You will now have the option to select ‘Always trust messages from ‘noreply@salesforce.com’. Ensure that this box is marked and select ‘OK’.
Approving Vacations/Absences
To complete a vacation/absence request from your action email, first log into Sage People and click the team member drop down on the right side of the page. Find the direct report that has made the request.
Once you’re on their page, select the dropdown next to Time Off, and select Vacation and Absence.
If you scroll down on this page, you’ll find a calendar highlighting all approved and pending vacation requests for this employee. Find the date of the absence that your team member has requested and click on it.
Note: All pending vacation and absence requests will be represented by a colored ‘border’ around the date on the calendar.
After you’ve clicked on the date, review the information that you see and decide to either approve or reject the request.
Edit/Reveal Performance Review
To complete the alerts “Edit Performance Review” or “Reveal Performance Review”, this means that a team member has revealed their performance competencies and now you must complete your portion. First log onto Sage People and click the team member drop down on the right side of the page. Find the direct report that has revealed their self- performance review. Once on the team member’s Sage People page, select the dropdown next to performance review and select Step 1: Performance Competencies.
Once on the performance competencies page for your team member, select Edit at the top right. This will bring you to the performance competency section of their performance evaluation.
On the performance competencies screen, first review the self-review filled out by your team member, then scroll down to the section labeled Manager Comments and Rating. Fill out this section based on the instructions shown below and when completed, select Save if you would like to edit further without revealing to your team member, or Reveal to Team Member if you’re ready to reveal.
Approve or Edit Goal
The “Approve or Edit Goal” alert means that a team member has revealed a goal to you and you must Approve or Edit the goal. To do this, log into your Sage People account and navigate to your team member’s Sage People page from the Team Member dropdown on the right side of the page.
Once on their page, select the dropdown arrow next to Performance and select Step 2: Goal Setting.
On this page, you will see three categories of goals: Draft, Active, and Closed. To approve or edit a new goal for an employee, please select Draft.
On the draft page, select the + sign next to View Details to view the details of the goal. Once you’ve reviewed the goal, either select Edit on the top right to edit the goal, or select Approve if you are satisfied with the goal.
Review Goal
The “Approve or Edit Goal” alert means that a team member has reached a review date for a goal and it requires review from you. To do this, log into your Sage People account and navigate to your team member’s Sage People page from the Team Member dropdown on the right side of the page.
Once on their page, select the dropdown arrow next to Performance and select Step 2: Goal Setting.
On this page, you will see three categories of goals: Draft, Active, and Closed. To review an existing goal for an employee, please select Active.
On the Active page, select the + sign next to View Details to view the details of the goal. Once you’ve reviewed the goal and determined your team member’s progress, select Review on the top right of the page.
Once on the Review of Progress page, click the dropdown next to Progress and designate the progress of the team member towards the goal. Enter in any comments below and if applicable, select the next date you would like to review this goal. When finished, select Save.
Confirm Training
The “Confirm Training” alert means that a team member has created a new training and the training needs confirmation from you. To do this, log into your Sage People account and navigate to your team member’s Sage People page from the Team Member dropdown on the right side of the page.
Once on their page, select the dropdown arrow next to Performance and select Step 3: Training.
On this page, you will see three categories of trainings: Draft, Active, and Closed. To confirm a new training for an employee, please select Draft.
For the training in question, review the information and select Edit if there is anything you would like to change on the training. After you’ve changed the information accordingly, select Save if there is more you would like to change later, or Confirm if you are ready to confirm the training.
If you are ready to confirm the training and move it to active, select Confirm.
