When Does This Solution Apply: When applying paid time off to a Team Member after they have earned the time through Volunteering 

 

Description: This article guides HR and Payroll through the process of crediting a Team Member vacation hours earned through KeeleyCares (volunteering)

  • Navigate to Absence Awards on the Employment Record and select New Absence Award. 

  • The Effective Date should be the date the TM can begin taking the newly awarded absence 

  • Use the magnifying glass to search for the absence award rule this applies to. This is used to link it to either absences, PTO or Volunteer PTO types. Select the option next to "All Fields" then enter "Volunteer PTO" into the search box and then select "Go!". The select the Absence Award Rule Name that is next to the TMs current Absence Award Pattern. Selecting the Absence Award Rule will put the correct value in the Absence Award Rule field.

  • In the Award field enter the number of hours the TM is receiving due to volunteering

  • The select Save.
  • The Volunteer PTO will then appear under Volunteer PTO Balance under the Accrued Balance and be available for the user to take
