Where Will This Solution Be Located: L Keeley SharePoint
When Does This Solution Apply: SharePoint Administrator Attempting To Add Quick Links To A New Site
Description: This article is a guide for a SharePoint Admin who needs to add the Quick Links App A Newly Created LKC SharePoint Site
- Navigate to the new site
- At the top right hand site select the gear icon
-
Then select "Site Contents"
-
In order to add the Quick Links webpart to the site you will need the "LKeeley Webparts" and "Quick Links" app. If you do not have these on your site you will need to add them.
- To add the LKeeley Webparts app, click on the "add an app" icon
- At the top left enter Keeley into the search bar and then hit enter to search
- Then select the LKeeley Webparts and proceed through the prompt to add. This is an app that was created by the developers "Big Kid Marketing", Andy Adams (andyadams82@gmail.com) so it takes a minute to load but will appear dark blue when fully loaded onto the site. This webpart runs the anniversary rotator and displays the pretty version of the Quick Links vs. the standard look of the lists.
-
While the LKeeley Webparts loads go to the main page for the site you are on. For instance, if you are wanting to add the Quick Links to the safety site on the Inspired site you would go to the root Inspired site homepage. Then select the gear at the top right and select Site Settings.
If you are on the main site, you will see quite a bit of options under Site Collection Administration, if not you are not on the main site and need to be in order to perform the next step
What you see if you are on the main site | What you see if you are on a subsite - You can click on "Go to top level site settings" here to get to the main site |
