When Does This Solution Apply: When a TM wants to adjust their 401k election amounts throughout the year
Description: This guide will walk you through adjusting your 401k elections and may answer any questions you have
Head to your "Benefits" tab in Sage People.
Click on your "My Benefits" tile (2 ways to get here, highlighted below).
Click the "Enroll" button.
In this scenario, I am going to adjust my 401k election from 8% to 2%, and adjust my Roth 401k from waive to 4%.
Click on your first 401k section. Walk through enrollment like you normally would by clicking on your first 401k option.
From here, adjust your election and then hit "Save and Next". You can recalculate beforehand to see the deduction amount. Ignore the "Start Date" (NEW HIRES ONLY) when adjusting your elections. Reminder: Your updated elections will take effect 1-2 payroll periods after the 1st of the next month.
That's it! Once you hit "Save and Next", your record will be saved and your updated election should reflect in the wizard. Reference the image below after I updated both plans as stated. No need to "Submit Elections to HR" as you won't be able to click this anyway.
