Overview: This article outlines the process of importing products from a third party system to Salesforce CPQ. If you use a third party Bill of Materials site like DTools or Ingram, the "Import Lines" button on the quote will allow you to mass upload products to a quote.
- Once your Quote is created, navigate to Quote Layout and select "Import Lines" button
- , From the file format dropdown, select the applicable Import Format

- Once an Import Format is selected, the required CSV column headers will tell you the order of columns
- Note: for all import formats, the first column always has to be a hardcoded column called HARDWARE
- Select "Choose File" button to select an upload file from your local computer
- Once a file has been selected, clicking the "Import" button will import all products from your spreadsheet to the quote.
- If you have any errors while uploading, double check your columns headers to ensure the meet the template headers exactly
- Once imported, you will be navigated back the Quote Layout. Similar to products within our price book, you will be modify the name, quantity, price, etc within the quote editor.
