What is MFA and why is it important? 

MFA enhances security for the Keeley Companies by requiring Team Members to identify themselves using a second layer of security beyond a username and password. The second layer of security can one of the following: text, call, code, push notification. By enforcing MFA, it means increased confidence that the Keeley Companies will stay safe from cyber criminals. 

 

How often do I have to enter this second code? 

MFA will prompt for the following: 

  • If you change your password 

  • When you visit portal.office.com 

  • Using Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc) 

 

How to Set-Up MFA 

1. Open a web browser and enter https://aka.ms/MFASetup in the address bar 

 


2. At the Microsoft Sign in, enter your email address and “Next” 

 


3. Enter your password and Select “Sign In” 

 


4. Select “Next” 

 


5. Select “Authentication phone” from the drop-down 

6. Select “United States” from the country list and enter your mobile phone number 

7. In “Method” box, select “Send me a code by text message”  

8. Select Next 

 


9. The code will be sent to the number you enter. 

10. From the text message, enter the code in the box 

 


11. Select Verify 

 


12. Select Done
