Bypassing the State Form
Purpose: The purpose of this document is to give Team Members an overview of the LKC New Hire Portal so they can bypass the State form in the case of the state they are working in does not collect state taxes or their form is not supported through the portal.
About LKC New Hire Portal: This website is created for Keeley new hires and Managers to easily walk through and complete the onboarding forms within the LKC New Hire Portal. Once completed, the information will be sent into our HR System, Sage People and then will transfer into our Accounting System, Sage 300 CRE.
Who is this for: Team Members
If taxes are not collected in the state you are working or the state you are working is not supported through the portal you will need to bypass the state forms. Follow the directions below to bypass the state form.
1. Select Other on the New Employee Tax Forms page
2. On the next page you will see a notification to reach out to your supervisor who will send an email to keeleypayroll@lkeeley.com and list what state you are needing. If you need a state that is not currently supported through the portal have your supervisor email payroll so you can complete a paper copy or if your state does not collect state tax click Continue
3. If you are working in multiple state you may need to complete another state form. If so, click yes and Next on the page below. This will cycle you through the state forms again. If you do not need to complete another state form click No and Next.
This will bring you to the page to complete your I9 and allow you to bypass completing the state forms through the portal.
*Note: If your state requires a tax form you will be required to complete the tax form.
