Deploying Custom iOS Apps using InTune
- Development team makes updates to apps and get app build into app store connect using account keeleydeveloper@gmail.com
- Development teams get app build into test flight using https://appstoreconnect.apple.com/
- QA obtains app from test flight and verifies the changes.
- The development team configures the app for private deployment and submits the build for app for review.
- Once approved the app should now be visible to admin in Apple Business Manager https://business.apple.com/ in the “Custom Apps” section.
- Admin uses Apple Business Manager to assign additional licenses to “Keeley Intune” in https://business.apple.com/
- Licenses are only required if the # of available licenses is low.
- Once we have available licenses for the custom app inside of Apple Business Manager, you should now be able to sync the VPP to see the app and licenses inside of InTune.
- Intune Admin should login at https://intune.microsoft.com/ and go to “Tenant administration” and select “Connector and Tokens
- Select Apple VPP Tokens and use the three dots to sync the current “Keeley InTune” VPP Token
- Now you can verify the # of license you have for this application by going to Apps à iOS/iPadOS à Safety One Stop
- To edit the security groups that received the app go to properties à Assignments à Edit
