Instructions:

  1. Logon to VASP portal using SSO: Home - Veritas Alta™ SaaS Protection (exchangesavvy-eastus2-onhubstor.azurewebsites.net)
  2. Click on Ad hoc search on the Discovery panel to begin email discovery.
  3. On the Search criteria panel:
    1. Change the Scope to Keeley Companies-M365 Mailboxes by clicking the down arrow to the right of the Scope field.
    2. Remove Custodians by clicking the “X” on the right of the Custodians field when hovering over the field.
    3. Update Last modified field to align with the required search parameters.
    4. Update Keyword field to align with the required search parameters.
    5. Add Recipient field to search by clicking the Add a field drop down and selecting Recipient. Update Recipient field to align with the required search parameters.
    6. Add any additional search fields and parameters as required.
  4. Once all search parameters are completed, click Run search.
  5. If results produced do not meet the parameters needed, then click Refine search at the top of the results page to modify the search parameters.
  6. If the results are acceptable, click the Save as button to save the search results as a CSV, Template, or Saved Search.
  7. To begin an email discovery case, click Add to case.
  8. In the Add search to case pop-up:
    1. Click “Select a case” and select New case to create a new case from the search results.
    2. In the Case pop-up:
      1. Enter the name for the new case.
      2. Leave the Suppress legal hold and Enhanced case selections as-is.
    3. Enter a Search name and click Add to create the Case.
  9. When the case discovery is complete, click on the Cases menu on the left panel.
  10. Use the VASP Export Utility to export the case. See additional KB.
