If the user has a request for an iPhone and iPad, always set the phone up first.
Prior to Turning the New Phone On
- Have a copy of the Apple Device Checklist (attached Apple Device Set Up Checklist.docx) printed and ready.
- Request the user's Keeley password
- The user must have both E3 licenses
- Before starting, make sure the user has TAPs enabled and saved in the ticket
- Write down the user's email, password, and their TAPs
- Finally, it is always best and fastest to put the screen protector and case on immediately after opening the phone box and removing the screen cover.
Powering On the Phone
- After removing from the box and peeling off the screen's protective sticker, turn on the phone by pressing and holding its power button until you see a white Apple logo
Phone Set Up
- When you see "Hello" in many different languages, swipe up on the phone.
- Choose your language, always English unless specified.
- Select United States as the Country or Region.
- On the Appearance screen, tap Continue.
- On the next screen, at the bottom of Quickly Set Up iPhone, choose Set Up Without Another Device.
- Next, choose your WiFi network. Choose KeeleyCompanies as default.
- The password is K331eyC0mp@nies. It will take a few moments for the to activate. It will skip if the phone line was never used and fell off.
- Under Data & Privacy, tap Continue.
- When the Remote Management screen comes up, choose Enroll this iPhone. This will take a minute or two to complete.
- Choose an iPhone Passcode. It must be 6 digits. Make sure this is put onto the New Hire's Cover Sheet (attached Template.docx) and not lost.
- Agree to Terms and Conditions.
- Tap Continue on Update Your iPhone Automatically.
- Tap Continue on iMessage & Facetime.
- Choose Turn on Location Services on the Location Services screen.
- Select Set Up Apple Intelligence on the Apple Intelligence screen.
- On the Visual Intelligence screen, tap Continue.
- Select Not Now on the Action Button screen.
- Under Emergency SOS, tap Continue.
iPhone Home Screen
- On the Welcome to iPhone screen, swipe up.
- Tap the Comp Portal app icon to launch Company Portal if it hasn't auto launched within 5-10 seconds.
- Choose the Sign In button to move forward.
- Sign in to Company Portal with the new hire's Keeley email and TAPs.
- On any notification in Company Portal, always choose Allow.
- Tap Begin. It will take up to 30 seconds. Then, tap Continue. This section could take a while as it checks the device's settings. Select Done.
Microsoft Authenticator
- Immediately find the Authenticator app and launch it.
- On the first screen, tap Continue.
- Then, choose Continue. Enter your passcode.
- Tap Allow. Tap Continue. Tap Done.
- Go into your Keeley account to make sure you have the 6-digit blue number.
Set Up Microsoft Outlook and Teams
- Tap the Outlook icon to launch Microsoft Outlook.
- Choose Add Account.
- The account you are adding should be shown near the top of the screen. Select Add Account. You may have to type in their email address if it isn't there already.
- Tap Maybe Later.
- Emails will start to load in. When the Enable Notifications selection pops up, choose Turn On and then Allow.
- Open the Teams app.
- Tap the email address of the account you want to set up.
- Tap Allow when the notifications dialog box pops up.
- Tap Next 3 times and then choose Allow While Using App. Tap Allow all.
iCloud Sign In
- Open the iPhone's Settings app.
- Choose the Apple Account option at the top.
- Tap the Manually Sign In option.
- Type in the iCloud email and hit Next. Type in the iCloud password.
- It will send a notification to the other Apple device attached to the iCloud account. The user would have to tap Allow and send you the 6-digit number.
- Once successful, it may ask for the passcode to another device attached to the user's iCloud account. Once that is entered correctly, it will sign in and the iCloud will be ready to download apps.
App Downloads
- Go to the Apple App Store.
- Tab the search bar, search and download the following apps:
- Microsoft OneDrive
- Construct Crew Time - Legacy
- Construct Approvals
- Download any Microsoft applications requested to be installed on their laptop (like Visio, Planner, CoPilot, PowerBI, etc).
- Once apps are downloaded, go ahead and open the OneDrive app.
Verizon Business Portal
- Log in to the Verizon Business Portal.
- Search for the phone number or user name.
- Select the correct account and then click the link "Change Device".
- Type or scan in the IMEI number for the new phone. Click Continue.
- Click Continue (skip adding any new features to line). Select the checkbox confirming terms and conditions.
- Click Place Order.
Finding Service on Phone
- On the phone, it should have a notification to activate SIM. If no notification pops up, go to Settings, General, Reset or Transfer iPhone, Reset, then Reset Network Settings. After typing in the passcode, the phone will restart.
- Reconnect to Wifi. Check the Cellular area of Settings to make sure the phone number is there. If so, you can shut the phone down.
