Purpose
This process outlines the steps for changing a phone/data line phone number on the Verizon network.
Step-by-Step Process
✅ 1. Gather Required Information
To create a new phone line, there are three things you will need to start:
Access to the Verizon Business Portal
The current device's phone number or IMEI number.
The new zip code and area coded needed for the change.
✅ 2. Log In to the Verizon Business Portal
Go to this URL to sign in: Verizon Business Account Login
Sign in with your credentials, or, know someone that has an account
✅ 3. Go to Number You Want Changed
- After signing in, type in either the phone's IMEI or phone number. Hit enter and click on the resulting phone line.
- Click the phone number link to change the number.
- Click Change Wireless Number and click Continue.
- Type in the zip code of the area code you need, hit TAB, and in the drop down choose the area code and prefix you prefer for the line. Click Submit. The user may need to restart their phone to see the change.
