Our organization will be using a request-based system to manage which Chrome extensions can be installed. Follow the steps below to request an extension you'd like to use.


Step 1: Visit the Chrome Web Store

  1. Go to https://chrome.google.com/webstore.
  2. Find the extension you want to install.
  3. On the extension page, you’ll see a “Request” button instead of “Add to Chrome.”




Step 2: Request the Extension

Important: You must notify the Service Desk after submitting your request.

  1. Click the “Request” button on the extension page.
  2. You will see a pop-up asking for justification for the extension. Enter your reasoning then hit ‘Send.’
  3. Your request will be set to 'Pending.'
  4. Submit a helpdesk ticket to notify the Service Desk that you've made a request.

Step 3: Wait for Approval

An administrator will review your request. If approved, you’ll be able to install the extension by clicking the ‘Add to Chrome’ button.

  • You may need to refresh the Chrome Web Store page or restart your browser after approval.
