✅ 1. Download the App
- Go to the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
- Search for Microsoft Authenticator and install it.
🔐 2. Add Your Account
- Open the app.
- Tap the + (Add account) button.
- Choose the account type:
- Work or school account (for company or school login)
- Personal account (e.g., Outlook.com, Hotmail, Xbox)
🔗 3. Link Your Account
- On your computer, go to the security settings of your Microsoft account:
- https://account.microsoft.com/security
- Choose Advanced security options > Add a new sign-in method > Authenticator app.
- Follow the prompts to scan a QR code using the app.
📷 4. Scan the QR Code
- In the app, tap Scan QR code.
- Point your phone at the QR code shown on your computer screen.
- Your account will be added and start generating codes.
