- Connect the drive via USB, Thunderbolt, or other supported ports.
- Open Finder.
- Look in the Sidebar under “Locations” — your drive should appear there.
- If it doesn’t show up:
- Go to Finder > Settings > Sidebar and make sure “External disks” is checked.
- Or open Disk Utility (search via Spotlight with
CMD + Space). - Select the drive and click Mount if it’s not already mounted.
